To find the graph of a line we need two points on the plane.

I f we have the equation of the line:

y=(2)/(9)x+3

we need to give values to x (whichever values we like), and then find the value of y; this will give us one point.

Let x=0, then:

y=(2)/(9)(0)+3=0+3=3

Then we have the point (0,3).

Now we need another point, let x=9. Then:

y=(2)/(9)(9)+3=2+3=5

Then we have the point (9,5).

Once we have two points we plot them on the plane:

Now that we plot the two points we joined them with a straight line to get the graph of the line:

- 5 y = 6x 1 y = -ax+11 3. y=-2 / 2 x – 5 5. y = -x-2 7. y = x + 14 9. y = -x + 6 11. y-example-1
- 5 y = 6x 1 y = -ax+11 3. y=-2 / 2 x – 5 5. y = -x-2 7. y = x + 14 9. y = -x + 6 11. y-example-2
