The formula for area of the circle is given by:


A=\pi* r^2

Substitute pi=3 and r=4 in the equation to get:


\begin{gathered} A=3*4^2 \\ A=48cm^2 \end{gathered}

Hence the area of the circle is 48 square centimeter.
