What components of the nervous system are involved in physical sensation? how does sensory impulse move throughout the body ?

Physical sensation means the detection of an environmental stimulus, this is realized by different receptor cells, such as chemoreceptors, mechanoreceptors, photoreceptors, and thermoreceptors.

The information is converted to electrical impulses that travel through the nerves to the central nervous system to be interpreted.
