The given inequalities are:


\begin{gathered} y<3x-1 \\ y>-x+4 \end{gathered}

The given ordered pairs are (4,0), (1,2), (0,4), and (2,1)

Using the first pair (4,0), substitute x=4 and y=0 into the inequalities:


\begin{gathered} 0<3(4)-1 \\ 0<11 \end{gathered}

Notice that the equation is true.


Notice that this inequality is false,

Hence the point (4,0) does not make the inequality true.
