Let the monthly allowance = x

Sean puts half of his monthly allowance in savings

So, saving = 1/2 x

he spends 2/5 of his allowance on game rentals

So, game rental = 2/5 * x

The rest will be for buy snacks

Rest = 3.75

So,

x-((1)/(2)x+(2)/(5)x)=3.75

solve for x:

\begin{gathered} (1)/(10)x=3.75 \\ \\ x=10\cdot3.75=37.5 \end{gathered}

So, the answer will be:

Monthly allowance = $37.5
