To convert

(3)/(40)

To decimal, we can do so in a simple way

The easy way will be to make the denominator (40) equals 1000 so it will be easier to convert.

This can be achieved by multiplying both the numerator and denominator by 25. The procedure is shown below

(3)/(40)*(25)/(25)

Hence, we will have

(3)/(40)*(25)/(25)=(75)/(1000)

Simplifying further

(75)/(1000)=0.075

The answer is 0.075
