hello

with the data given, i believe you intend to find the equation of a straight line and not standard form

slope = - 2

points = (-3, 4)

equation of a straight line is y = mx + c

m = slope

c = intercept

\begin{gathered} y=mx+c \\ y=-2x+c \end{gathered}

let's solve for the intercept

know that coordinate vale (x, y) = (-3, 4)

substitute the values into the equation

\begin{gathered} y=-2x+c \\ 4=-2(-3)+c \\ 4=6+c \\ c=4-6 \\ c=-2 \end{gathered}

since we know our intercept as -2, we can write the equation of a straight line

y=-2x-2

y = -(2x + 2)
