a and b are paralllel, both corssed by a tranversal line.

5 and 6 are supplementary angles (both add to 180°)

So:

<5+<6 =180

Since <6=74°

<5+74 =180

<5=180-74

<5= 106°

angles 5 and 1 are corresponding angles ( they are in matching corners), so they are equal:

<5=<1

<1 = 106°
