To find the rate of change we need to use 2 pairs of values. In this case, time will be represented by x and distance will be represented by y, then, the rate of change is found using the following formula:


m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Use 2 pairs of values, for example (4, 260) and (6, 390):


\begin{gathered} m=(390-260)/(6-4) \\ m=(130)/(2) \\ m=65 \end{gathered}

The rate of change is 65 miles/hour.

In this case, the rate of change represents the speed.
