We have to use the slope formula

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Let's replace the points (4,2) and (9,8), where

\begin{gathered} x_1=4 \\ x_2=9_{} \\ y_1=2 \\ y_2=8 \end{gathered}
m=(8-2)/(9-4)=(6)/(5)

Hence, the slope is 6/5.
