Solve the problem by applying the Fundamental Counting Principle with twogroups of items.A restaurant offers a choice of 5 salads, 9 main courses, and 3 desserts. Howmany possible 3-course meals are there?

For a three course meal we have to choose one option of each course, to determine how many possible posibilities we have we just need to multiply the number of possibilities on each couse, then we have:


(5)(9)(3)=135

Therefore, there are 135 possible 3-course meals.
