The given equation;

(3x-5)/(2)=-7

Apply cross multiplication;

\begin{gathered} (3x-5)/(2)=-7 \\ 3x-5=-7*2 \\ 3x-5=-14 \end{gathered}

Now, add 5 on both side as;

\begin{gathered} 3x-5+5=-14+5 \\ 3x=-9 \end{gathered}

Divide both side by 3;

\begin{gathered} (3x)/(x)=-(9)/(3) \\ x=-3 \end{gathered}

Hence proof
