As the scale factor is 1cm: 5ft to find the dimensions of the actual garden you multiply the measures in the scale model by 5ft/1cm:

\begin{gathered} 4\operatorname{cm}\cdot\frac{5ft}{\operatorname{cm}}=20ft \\ \\ 5\operatorname{cm}\cdot\frac{5ft}{\operatorname{cm}}=25ft \\ \\ 9\operatorname{cm}\cdot\frac{5f}{\operatorname{cm}}=45ft \end{gathered}

Part A:

Part B:

The area of a trapezoid is:

A=(1)/(2)(b_1+b_2)\cdot h

b1 is the base 1 (20ft)

b2 is the base 2 (45ft)

h is the height (25ft)

\begin{gathered} A=(1)/(2)(20ft+45ft)\cdot25ft \\ \\ A=(1)/(2)(65ft)\cdot25ft \\ \\ A=(65)/(2)ft\cdot25ft \\ \\ A=(1625)/(2)ft^2 \\ \\ A=812.5ft^2 \end{gathered}The area of the actual garden is 812.5 square feet
