You have the following expression:

\frac{\sqrt[]{-40}}{\sqrt[]{-4}}

In order to simplify the previous expression, take into account that:

√(-1) = i

moreover, consider that 40 = 4*10 and √4 = 2. Then, you have:

\frac{\sqrt[]{-40}}{\sqrt[]{-4}}=\frac{\sqrt[]{-1\cdot4\cdot10}}{\sqrt[]{-1\cdot4}}=\frac{2i\sqrt[]{10}}{2i}=\sqrt[]{10}

Hence, the simplified expression is √10
