How do I find the answer to (+14) - (-4) =

\left(+14\right)\:-\:\left(-4\right)

Apply rule:


\begin{gathered} \left(+14\right)\:-\:\left(-4\right) \\ 14-\left(-4\right)=14+4 \end{gathered}

Add the numbers:


14+4=18

Hence, the answer is 18.
