What is the product of (7/8)(-16)(-7)(-14)

By definition, a product is the result of a multiplication. So, in order to find the product asked in the exercise, you must multiply the numbers.

Remember the rules for the signs in multiplication:


\begin{gathered} +\cdot+=+ \\ -\cdot-=- \\ +\cdot-=- \end{gathered}

To multiply fractions the procedure is the following:


(a)/(b)\cdot(c)/(d)=(ac)/(bd)

So, given this expression:


((7)/(8))(-16)(-7)(-14)

You can rewrite it in this form:


=((7)/(8))((-16)/(1))((-7)/(1))((-14)/(1))

Then, multiplying the fractions, you get this product:


=((7)(-16)(-7)(-14))/(8)=(-10976)/(8)

Simpliying the product, you get that the answer is:


=-1372
