Data:

Swimming against current:

Distance: d= 60miles

Time: t = 2h

swimming with the current:

Dictance: d= 60miles

Time; t = 1.5h

1. The speed against current:

v_{}=(d)/(t)
v_(ac)=\frac{60\text{miles}}{2h}=30\frac{\text{miles}}{h}

2. The speed with the current:

v=(d)/(t)
v_(wc)=(60miles)/(1.5h)=40\frac{\text{miles}}{h}
