1.- Find the complementary angle to 47.6°

x = 90 - 47.6

x = 42.4°

2.- Use trigonometric functions to find the length

cos 42.4 = y/3900

-solve for y

y = 3900*cos42.4

y = 3900* 0.738

y = 2879.9 meters This is the result
