SOLUTION

We have been given

\begin{gathered} f(x)=2x^3+7x^2-4x-5 \\ g(x)=3x-2 \end{gathered}

We want to find (f - g)(x)

This means f(x) - g(x), we have

\begin{gathered} f(x)-g(x)=2x^3+7x^2-4x-5-(3x-2) \\ =2x^3+7x^2-4x-5-3x+2 \\ collecting\text{ like terms } \\ =2x^3+7x^2-4x-3x-5+2 \\ =2x^3+7x^2-7x-3 \end{gathered}

Hence the answer is

2x^3+7x^2-7x-3
