The slope of a line that passes through two(2) points is given as:

\text{Slope,m}=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

From the given points:

\begin{gathered} (-2,-5)\text{ and (5,0)} \\ x_1=-2,y_1=-5 \\ x_2=5,y_2=0 \end{gathered}

Thus, we have:

\begin{gathered} m=(0-(-5))/(5-(-2)) \\ m=(0+5)/(5+2) \\ m=(5)/(7) \end{gathered}
