Activity 2: Lunchroom Tables continued The janitor reminded Ms. Counter that the cafeteria wouldn't hold all of the tables in one line. He estimated that the length of the cafeteria was long enough to hold about 20 tables. With this in mind, determine the number of tables needed and the expected set-up to seat 450 students.

If 8 students can sit at one table, then we just have to divide it from 450 to find the number of tables needed.


(450)/(8)=56.25

There are needed 57 tables.

Notice that we needed to round to the next whole number since we can have an incomplete table.
