Given the slope-intecept form of linear equation


\begin{gathered} y=mx+c \\ m\rightarrow slope \\ c\rightarrow y-intercept \end{gathered}

Function 1: y = 2x+3


\begin{gathered} y=2x+3 \\ c\rightarrow3 \\ y-\text{intercept is 3} \end{gathered}

In a linear graph, the y-intercept is the point the line cross the y-axis.

Thus, for the function 2: the y-intercept is shown below

The y-intercept is 1

Hence, Function 1 has a greater y-intercept
