How do you know that point is a solution to the following two equations, which are shown in the graph? y = x + 9 and and y = -2x - 3 C Because 1. (-4) +9 = 5 and -2.(-5) - 3 = 7 ✓ Because 1 • (-9) + 9 = 0 and -2 • (-1) - 3 - 0 Because 1 • (-5) + 9 = 4 and 2 • (-4) - 3 = 5 Because 1. (-4) + 9 = 5 and -2 • (-4) - 3 = 5

the given expression is,

y = x +9 & y = -2x -3

so the solution for both the line will be the intersection point of the lines,

so equate the equation,

x + 9 = -2x - 3

x + 2x = -3 - 9

3x = - 12

x = -12/3

x = -4

put x = -4 in the equation
