*The ear is responsible for the sense of hearing by sensing sound waves. This organ also senses body position that keeps our balance.
*The semicircular canals inside the ear have fluid that moves whenever there is a change in head position. There are tiny hairs that line the semicircular canals and they sense the movement of the fluid. When there is a movement of the fluid, these tiny hair send nerve impulses to the vestibular nerve and these impulses are transmitted to the brain. Now, the brain interprets these impulses and sends messages to the peripheral nervous system, which maintains the balance of the body and triggers the contraction of the skeletal muscles.
