We are given the image ABCD with the following coordinates;

\begin{gathered} A(1,2) \\ B(3,2) \\ C(3,0) \\ D(1,0) \end{gathered}

The center of dilation is at the origin hence, to dilate this image with a scale factor of 2, we simply multiply the coordinates by 2. This is shown below;

\begin{gathered} 2*(1,2)=(2,4) \\ A^(\prime)(2,4) \\ 2*(3,2)=(6,4) \\ B^(\prime)(6,4) \\ 2*(3,0)=(6,0) \\ C^(\prime)(6,0) \\ 2*(1,0)=(2,0) \\ D^(\prime)(2,0) \end{gathered}

ANSWER:

The coordinates of the image after dilation would be;

\begin{gathered} A^(\prime)(2,4) \\ B^(\prime)(6,4) \\ C^(\prime)(6,0) \\ D^(\prime)(2,0) \end{gathered}
