\sin (angle)=\frac{\text{opposite side}}{\text{ hypotenuse}}

From the picture:


\begin{gathered} \sin (37)=(167)/(x) \\ x=(167)/(\sin (37)) \\ x=277.5\text{ ft} \end{gathered}
