The dilation multiplies the coordinates of a point by a specific value.

If the point K' (24,42) was dilated by a factor of 6, in order to find the original point K, we just need to divide the coordinates of K' by 6. So we have that:


K^(\prime)(24,42)\to K((24)/(6),(42)/(6))=K(4,7)

So the coordinates of K are (4, 7)
