The formula for the slope is,

m=(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)

Substitute the values in the formula to obtain the value of x.

\begin{gathered} -(1)/(3)=(6-4)/(x-9) \\ -1(x-9)=3\cdot2 \\ -x+9=6 \\ -x=6-9 \\ x=3 \end{gathered}

Thus value of x is 3.
