Let x be the number of miles driven.

Let y be the total charge.

Company A: Initial fee $60 and an additional 60 cents permile drive:n

y_A=60+0.60x

Compan B No initia fee, 80 cents forper mile driven:

y_B=0.80x

Find x when YA is at least as much as YB:

\begin{gathered} y_A\leq y_B \\ \\ 60+0.60x\leq0.80x \end{gathered}

Solve x:

\begin{gathered} 60+0.60x-0.60x\leq0.80x-0.60x \\ 60\leq0.2x \\ (60)/(0.2)\leq x \\ \\ 300\leq x \end{gathered}

Then, the number of miles needs to be greater than or equal to 300

x\ge300
