We multiply each term of the first factor by each term of the other factor:


\begin{gathered} =a\cdot c+a\cdot d+a\cdot e+b\cdot c+b\cdot d+b\cdot e \\ =ac+ad+ae+bc+bd+be \end{gathered}

Answer: ac + ad + ae + bc + bd + be
