First we need to remember the product-to-sum trigonometry formula :

\sin \mleft(a\mright)\sin \mleft(b\mright)=(1)/(2)\mleft(\cos \mleft(a-b\mright)-\cos \mleft(a+b\mright)\mright)

So, in our question, we have:

\sin ((\pi)/(4))\sin ((\pi)/(6))=(1)/(2)(\cos ((\pi)/(12))-\cos ((5\pi)/(12)))
