Solution

For this case we can create the following system of equations:

x + y= 6

1.7 x + 3.20 y= 13.2

Solving for x we got:

x= 6-y

And replacing we got:

1.7 (6-y) +3.20 y = 13.2

10.2 - 1.7y + 3.20y = 13.2

1.5y=3

y= 2

And solving for x we got:

x= 6-2= 4

Then the answer would be:

4 lbs of the cheaper chocolate

2lbs of the expensive chocolate
