We have the following expression given:

3(2)/(5)-2(4)/(5)

First we can convert the fractions and we got:

((3\cdot5)+2)/(5)-((2\cdot5)+4)/(5)=(17)/(5)-(14)/(5)

And finally we can do the operation and we got:

(17)/(5)-(14)/(5)=(3)/(5)

If we compare the result from the value given:

1(2)/(5)=((1\cdot5)+2)/(5)=(7)/(5)

We can see that we have a different result 3/5 is not 7/5 so then we can conclude that the statement is False.
