The area for a trapezoid can be estimated using the formula

A=((B+b))/(2)\cdot h

According to the statement replace the values

\begin{gathered} A=((16+9))/(2)\cdot(14) \\ A=(25)/(2)\cdot14 \\ A=175 \end{gathered}

The area of the trapezoid is 175 square inches.
