We have 2 prices and we have to compare them. To do that, we have to put the prices referring to the same unit (ounce).

Top Bean coffee comesin a 28-ounce package and cost $7.26.

Then its price per ounce is:

\begin{gathered} P_1=7.26\frac{\$}{\text{package}}\cdot(1)/(28)\frac{package}{\text{ounces}}=0.26\frac{\$}{\text{ounce}} \\ \end{gathered}

Cafe Choice coffee costs $9.28 for a two pound package. Then, its price per ounce is:

P_2=9.28\frac{\$}{\text{package}}\cdot(1)/(2)\frac{package}{\text{pounds}}\cdot(1)/(16)\frac{pounds}{\text{ounces}}=0.29\frac{\$}{\text{ounce}}

Then, we have Cafe Choice for 0.29 $/ounce and Top Bean for 0.26 $/ounce. The difference is $0.03 per ounce.

The right answer option is: B. Top Bean is cheaper by $0.03 per ounce.
