Solution:

Given:

\begin{gathered} A\text{ sphere with a diameter of 12ft} \\ d=12ft \end{gathered}

Hence, the volume of the sphere is gotten using the formula;

V=(4)/(3)\pi r^3

\begin{gathered} d=12ft \\ r=(d)/(2)=(12)/(2) \\ r=6ft \end{gathered}

Hence, substituting the value of the radius into the volume of the sphere;

\begin{gathered} V=(4)/(3)\pi r^3 \\ V=(4)/(3)*\pi*6^3 \\ V=(4)/(3)*\pi*216 \\ V=(864\pi)/(3) \\ V=288\pi ft^3 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the volume of the sphere in terms of pi is;

V=288\pi ft^3
