Clare is painting some doors that are all the same size. She used 2 liters of paint to cover

1 3/5 doors. How many liters of paint are needed for 1 door?

I need an explanation with the answer and I need it today :)

I think it's 1 1/4 liters of paint for one door

Explanation:

First you have to turn it to an improper fraction

1.) 1 3/5 = 8/5

Then you have to proportion the fraction with the 2 liters (L=liters)

2.) 2/(8/5)

= 10/8 L

3.) Next you convert the fraction to a mixed number

10/8 L --> 8/8 + 2/8 = 1 1/4 L
