Compound Inequality

Compound inequalities are separate inequalities linked by some logic operation like AND or OR, where AND indicates that all of the conditions must be met, and OR indicates that any condition must be met.

We have two inequalities:

x ≥ 8 AND x < 8

The solution of the total inequality must satisfy both conditions, i.e. the number must be greater or equal than -8 and less than 8.

We'll show below the individual solutions in different colors and the common (and total) solution of the system:

Please note the filled dot at x = -8 that indicates the point belongs to the solution and the hollow dot at x = 8 indicates it does not belong to the solution.
