Mila cuts a sphere with a 13-inch radius in half. What is the area of the cross section of the sphere in square inches in terms of π

Note that the cross section of a sphere is a circle

Therefore , the required area is the area of a circle which is (pie x r x r)


\begin{gathered} \text{Area of circle = }\pi\text{r}^2 \\ =\pi\text{ x 13 x 13=} \\ =169\pi inch^2 \end{gathered}
