Juanita is decorating for a birthday party. She buys more than 30 balloons and attaches six of them to the chair of the birthday girl. She also wants to attach balloons to each of the four tables, with the same number of balloons at each table. If n represent the number of balloons at each table, this situation can be represented by the inequality 6 + 4n > 30. what does the solution to this inequality represent.

we have the inequality

6 + 4n > 30

Solve for n

subtract 6 both sides

6 + 4n-6 > 30-6

simplify

4n > 24

divide by 4 on both sides

n > 24/4

n > 6

therefore

She can attach more than 6 balloons to each table
