How much does it cost to run eight 60 W light bulbs, operating for an average of 6.4 hours per day for a 30 day month?

We will have the following:


(60W)/(6.4h)=(75)/(8)W/h

Then:


30\cdot(75)/(8)W/h=(1125)/(4)\cdot(W)/(h)\cdot(kW)/(1000W)=(9)/(32)kW/h

Now that we have calculated the amount of kWh consumed that month we simply multiply by the cost of consumption of kWh, that is:


\text{Cost of total consumption}=(9)/(32)kW/h\cdot\text{cost of each kW/h}
