Determine if the side lengths form a right triangle. If not, is the longest side too long or too short ? 33,56,64

We would apply the tiangle inequality theorem which states that for the given lengths to form a triangle, the length of any two sides must be greater than teh length of the third side. By applying this theorem,

33 + 56 must be greater than 64

89 > 64

33 + 64 must be greater than 56

97 > 64

56 + 64 must be greater than 33

120 > 33

We can see that the theorem is obeyed. Thus, the side lengths form a right triangle.
