i answered number 4 which is part 1, part 2 is question 5. if the missing length of the triangle is 14m (pythagorean theorem) then what's number 5?

We first determine the length of the side of the triangle on the left, that is:


s=\sqrt[]{20^2-12^2}\Rightarrow s=16

Now, we can see that 24 = s + a, where s is the side we just determined and a is the side of the smaller triangle in the right, now we replace and solve for a:


16+a=24\Rightarrow a=8

Now, we determine the missing side of the whole triangle:


s_1=\sqrt[]{12^2+8^2}\Rightarrow s_1=4\sqrt[]{13}
