Considering the two properties given:

1) f(x) = -3 [as x approches negative infinity]

This can be written mathematically as:


\lim _(x\to-\infty)f(x)\text{ = -3}

This means that as x → ∞, f(x) = -3

2) f(x) = - infinity [as x approches positive infinity]


\lim _(x\to\infty)=\text{ -}\infty

Taking note of these properties, the funnction, f, can be plotted as shown below:
