Slope means inclination of the line

Intercept means the point where the line crosses the y axis

the general equation for slope intercept is

y = mx + b

where m is the slope, and b is intercept

by visual inspection and comparation of the

general formula y = mx + b

and problem y= -4x + 3

it can be found readily that

Slope m = -4

Intercept b= 3
