The diamter is equal to height of the cylinder D=H=S.

The expression for the Volume of the cylinder is,


V=(\pi)/(4)D^2H

Substitute the given values in the above expression.


\begin{gathered} V=(\pi)/(4)(S)^2S \\ =(\pi)/(4)S^3 \end{gathered}

Thus, the volume of the cylinder is πS^(3) /4.
