While still in the hospital, the doctor writes an order for an antibiotic at 300mg/kg daily. You are nervous now because the nurse was wrong before.  Assuming that you weigh 123 lb, determine how many milligrams you should be given per day.  Round to two decimal places [1kg = 2.205lbs]

We will ahve the following:

First, we transform from Lb to Kg:

123Lb\cdot(1Kg)/(2.205Lb)=(8200)/(147)Kg\approx55.78Kg

Now, we calculate the amount of mg you would need to take:

x=\frac{300mg\cdot((8200)/(147)kg)}{1\operatorname{kg}}\Rightarrow x\approx16734.69mg

So, you will have to take 16 734.69 mg each day.
