Consider that $44.00 is the price of each of the 9 products.

If a discount of 20% is applied on each product, then its price becomes,

\begin{gathered} =44-(20\text{ percent of }44) \\ =44-((20)/(100)*44) \\ =44-8.8 \\ =35.2 \end{gathered}

Now, the total price of the 9 products after applying the discount, is calculated as,

\begin{gathered} =35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2+35.2 \\ =9*35.2 \\ =316.8 \end{gathered}

Thus, the new total of the 9 products that the customer has purchased is $316.8
