a.

We know that there are 1000 mg in one gram then we have:

250\text{ }mg\frac{1\text{ }g}{1000\text{ }mg}=0.25\text{ g}

Therefore, 250 mg is equal to 0.25 g.

b.

To change the rate we need to remember that there are 24 hours in a day, then:

250\text{ }(mg)/(h)\cdot\frac{1\text{ g}}{1000\text{ mg}}\cdot\frac{24\text{ h}}{1\text{ day}}=6\text{ }(g)/(day)

Therefore, the rate is 6 g/day
