The perimeter of an entire circle is the circunference, which is given by

C=\pi d

where d is the diameter.

In our case d=23cm then, by sbustituting this values into the last formula,we get

C=(3.1416)\cdot(23)

which gives C= 72.26 cm.

However, we need the perimeter of half circle, which is half C plus the vertical segment (23cm), that is

P=(C)/(2)+23

then, the perimeter P is

\begin{gathered} P=(72.26)/(2)+23 \\ P=59.13\text{ cm} \end{gathered}

then, the answer is 59.13 cm
